Du’a when leaving home

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

“In the Name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah, there is no might and no power except by Allah.”

In a hadith narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, the Prophet (salah allahu ‘alayhi wa salam) stated that if a person recites the above du’a and departs then there is an (unseen) proclamation that his need will be fulfilled and that he will be protected from any harm or injury. On hearing this dua, the Satan goes away from the place and refrains from troubling the reciting person.

Don’t forget to say it every time you leave your house and teach it to your loved ones!

    Bismillaah Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem

Jazaakumullaah khayran, I look forward to reading your posts.
Please could you verify if the translation of the above dua is correct?
In the fortress of the Muslim the translation is as follows:
In the Name of Allaah, I have placed my trust in Allaah, there is no might and no power except by Allaah.

  2. purewordss says:

wa alaikum asalaam wa rahmatu Allah,

Wa eyakum, ukhti. Jazzakum Allahu khairan, ukhti, and you’re right, your translation seems more precise. I added the one you posted.

I appreciate your advice and suggestion.

    Barak Allahu feekum..
